From her school days, Shaitya loved performing on stage. She took part in classical dance, mono act, and singing competitions. She also won state-level prizes for Mohiniyattam and Kuchipudi in the CBSE arts festival (Kalolsavam). She says her teachers played a big role in helping her become a better artist.

Shaitya became popular through TV shows like Asianet’s Comedy Stars, Mazhavil Manorama’s Comedy Festival, and Flowers TV’s Uppum Mulakum. In Uppum Mulakum, she played Mudiyan’s wife, a role that was loved by many viewers and watched by millions on YouTube.
