Nargis Fakhri is an American film actress and model who primarily works in the Indian film industry. She was born on 20 October 1979 in New York City, to Pakistani father Mohammed Fakhri, and European mother Marie Fakhri. Fakhri’s parents got divorced and parted ways when she was six years old. She has one younger sister named Aliya Fakhri. She attained her college education at Queens College, the City University of New York where she pursued a B.A. with a major in Fine Arts and a Minor in psychology.

Nargis stepped into the glamour world by taking up modelling assignments at the age of 16. She auditioned for the second and third rounds of the popular American reality TV show, “America’s Next Top Model” and even got selected for the initial challenges of both the rounds, but succumbed to the third challenge. She started her career as a model and later turned into acting. She made her acting debut with the Bollywood movie Rockstar (2011).
