Early life and Career

Alia Bhatt was born in a family of mixed descent, where his father Mahesh Bhatt is a Gujarati Hindu and her mother Soni Razdan is a Kashmiri Muslim. Alia took birth in the city of dreams, Mumbai, on 15th March 1993 as the Bhatt family’s youngest daughter. Her father, Mahesh Bhatt, is an acclaimed filmmaker and script-writer, whereas her mother, Soni Razdan, is a veteran Bollywood actress who holds British citizenship.
Alia completed her schooling at Jamnabai Narsee School, Mumbai. At the tender age of 4, she started receiving dance training at Shiamak Davar’s dancing academy. As a child artist, she first faced the camera at the age of 6 years in the movie “Sangharsh” (1999), portraying young Preity Zinta’s character.
Alia completed her high-school intermediate and was willing to pursue higher education in drama studies. Fortunately, she got her first lead role in the film “Student of the Year” (2012) opposite Varun Dhawan Siddharth Malhotra. The film’s three lead roles had been newly introduced to the film industry and managed to impress the audience with their acting skills and splendid appearances. After getting her first major break in “Student of the Year,” Alia dropped all her plans to study further and decided to continue her just-started career in Bollywood.
