She made her debut in 1982 with Tamil film Nenjangal as a child artist. She is one of the few actresses who have been successful in South Indian cinema. Meena was also a playback singer, TV judge, and occasional dubbing artist. She won two Filmfare Awards South, four Tamil Nadu State Film Awards for Best Actress, two Nandi Awards for Best Actress, and five Cinema Express Awards. She has acted in more than 250 movies and she was last seen in Telugu Film Drushyam 2. Her latest movies are Rowdy Baby and Bro Daddy.
