Palkar has received professional training in Hindustani classical music and the famous dance form Kathak. She has also taken a crash course in acting at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in Los Angeles. Palkar marked her first-ever film debut with the 2014 released Marathi short film “Majha Honeymoon,” which was also screened at the 16th Mumbai international film festival. She also marked her first Bollywood debut in the same year by making a place in the Imran Khan starrer film Katti Batti, portraying the role of Imran’s sister in the movie. She also bagged advertisements for famous brands like Maggi, Tata Tea, and Zomato.
Palkar’s name was mentioned in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list of Young achievers in February 2018. Her latest releases are called Chopsticks, a Netflix original film released in 2019, and Taco Bell’s digital campaign #TheCheesyPull.
