Early life and career
She began pursuing her school education at Maneckjee Cooper High School, Juhu, Mumbai and passed her school intermediate. After that, to pursue graduation, she signed up for admission to Mithibai College, Mumbai. She had been taking lessons in classical dance since she was in the 10th standard. When she was 16 years old, she was also offered a lead role in a movie directed by his family friend, Mr Salim Khan, named “Aa Gale lag Jaa.” But her father did not want to launch her into the film industry at such a tender age, so she declined the offer. In another Bengali language film directed by her father in 1996, named “Biyer Phool,” she appeared in a cameo role. Before entering Bollywood, she had her share of training and development in acting from Roshan Taneja’s acting institute.
Besides acting, Rani has always shown active participation in humanitarian causes and solving social issues. She has conducted several stage shows and concerts and has helped women fight against oppression and child abuse. She was a judge in the dance reality show “Dance Premier League” (2009).

Rani kept her romantic relationship with Aditya Chopra a secret for many years. She was enquired continuously by the media regarding her relationship with Aditya Chopra, but the actress discarded any such claims.
